How to Hook Up an Antenna Amplifier and Splitter by Bryan Clark Hooking up an antenna amplifier is a great way to get weak television channels to come in more clearly. With the digital conversion, most antenna amplifiers are now used for HDTV purposes, but no matter what your reason, it’s a simple install that takes just a few minutes of your time. Plug the coaxial cable which runs from the antenna into the “coaxial in” port on the amplifier. Plug one end of a section of coaxial cable into the “coaxial out” port of the amplifier and the other end into the “antenna in” port of the power inverter. Screw a small section of wire into the “television out” port of the power inverter and plug the other side of that wire into your splitter. Depending on the splitter, you’ll have a one in four out configuration or a one in two out configuration. Plug the wire running from the inverter into the side that has the least number of ports, or the one that says “in. Plug the other end of the cable into the “out” port on the splitter. Plug the inverter into the wall. Your final configuration should look like this:

Most of us musicians just want to play music. But, this is the price we pay for playing electric instruments. Though instrument cables used between your bass and amp input look similar, they are not. Speaker cables are thicker.
Nov 29, · Remember to tune at low will burn up the relays in the LDG if you tune with your amplifier engaged. Keep it in standby and tune with just your radio. Make sure that you don’t overdrive your amp also.
Cable TV allows reception of many more channels than can be received by conventional broadcast TV. The video signal is fed from the cable TV company through a distribution network, and finally through a coaxial cable typically RG6 – 75 ohm cable to your home. The cable is connected to the TV set, VCR or cable TV box necessary if you want to receive premium, pay channels by screw-on or push-on “F” connectors.
The cable company must connect you to the service for a monthly fee and then the signal can be routed throughout your home over additional cables. The signal can be split to different rooms of the home using TV splitters coaxial cable cannot be spliced together like telephone or speaker wire. Since long cable runs and multiple splitters can produce substantial signal loss and therefore degrade the picture quality , signal amplification may be necessary in those cases.
The best strategy for keeping a good strong signal is to keep the splitters to a minimum. When that can’t be done, then an amplifier is your best bet.

Jan 06, · Is hooking up speakers to ‘A’ and ‘B’ posts a series or parallel hookup? Discussion in ‘Audio Hardware’ started by mloops, Jan 5, It doesn’t really make sense to hook speakers up in series unless you’re trying to increase the load on the channel.
Share on Facebook Many Epson business projectors, despite their display abilities, frequently have low-powered monophonic speakers, which makes them less than optimal as audio presentation tools for anything but small conference rooms. To help solve this problem, some Epson projectors have audio outputs that you can connect to an audio system for richer sound.
For projectors that lack audio outputs, connect your computer directly to the stereo system in the room where you’ll be presenting. Projector With Audio Output Turn the stereo system off. Step 2 Insert the 3. Step 3 Insert the two phono plug ends into open audio inputs on the back of the stereo receiver or amplifier.
Note which input name you use and insert the red plug into the R or Right channel input and the black or white plug into the L or Left channel input.

Click on the link above and type “Kicker” into the search box Kicker system installation and review By Resumespeed Kicker package with single 10″ subwoofer Components installed: Over many decades I have had dozens of different sound systems in as many vehicles, from factory systems to custom installs, from many different manufacturers. I have had my share of botched installs and issues with unmatched components, so the last few audio upgrades I decided to do myself.
The Mopar Kicker system is especially worthwhile since it is custom designed for each vehicle, and its “plug and play” installation convenience. The difference between the factory Boston Audio premium system and the upgraded Kicker system is absolutely amazing! I am more than impressed.

For years I used older Ampegs to include the About 7 years ago I got tired of Ampeg’s poor customer service and shoddy workmanship on their new products. Having said all of this, I was intrigued by Ampeg’s new BA v2 and with the “sale’ price I figured why not give it a shot. The tone is GREAT and has a wide range of variations so that you can dial in almost any sound you are looking for. The scrambler is decent. IMO it is best used for light grind and growl as to my ears it gets a little harsh when used all out.
The coolest feature by far is the fact that the 60 degree wedge position is perfect for stage applications! The tone of the amp remains consistant across all volume levels and it is surprisingly loud for the wattage rating. This means that with an external cabinet running at 4 Ohms it would be MORE than enough for even large stages. Bottom line is this:
Gain controls on an amplifier are basically just small potentiometers variable resistors or volume controls if you will, that allow you to adjust the incoming signal to the amplifier so the amplifier works well with your headunit of choice or to match the level of other amplifiers in your system. Its not rocket science to set the gains. With one amplifier its desirable to have a nice swing on your headunits volume control.
Let me try to clarify this a little.
Amplifier Hook Up. I use my K3/ with an Acom , I just connect the phono keying output to the amplifier keying input with a phono to phono screened lead. The Acom doesn’t have ALC output, so.
Installing a 70 Volt Sound Distribution System: Here is how you connect a 70 volt sound distribution system. For a more detailed drawing click here 1 Connect your speaker wiring to the common and 70 volt output terminals on the distribution amplifier. All of the speakers need to connect in parallel. They can be either “home run” individually back to the amplifier, or “daisy chained” from one to another.
You can of course use a combination of both.

So here’s my attempt to shed some light on this. Here’s the actual part used in most Kenwood rigs. But consider that your amplifier relay may also create even greater noise. Concern about lifetime According to the datasheet its mechanical endurance is more than This is astronomical enough so we need not worry about its lifetime, but who knows about premature failure due to extremely harsh use, like making more than 3, Qs in CQ WW contests?
They are really just a relay contact and isolated completely from other circuits, so the polarity between the two doesn’t matter interchangeable. Remember that COM is floating and has nothing to do with the circuit ground. See schematics at the end of this article for details. Using Solid State Switches Alternatively you can use solid state switches inside the keying circuit.
These are tiny little SMD parts. RX status is not ‘Low’ or ‘Ground’ but ‘undefined’ floating.

Narrative Description of Amplifier Circuit Function This amplifier provides watts power output for the Six-meter band. It uses the low cost GS35B Russian power triode in a grounded grid or cathode driven configuration and requires about Watts of drive power. The Russian tube is currently available from USA and international sources1 at attractive prices, especially when compared to the cost of traditional American tubes of this power rating. The center tap of the filament secondary provides the connection to the tubes bias circuitry.
RF driving power from the transceiver is applied to the tube’s cathode using an input matching circuit.
A 2-way speaker switch and line output converter can allow you to hook up a second amp to a receiver and drive multiple pairs of speakers.
The mixer is an integral piece that takes the sound being picked up by microphones and processes it to be sent to the powered amplifier and then the speakers. Peavey offers a full line of professional live-sound mixers for use with small and large PA systems alike. Follow a few simple steps and you will have your mixer up and running in no time. Set up your Peavey mixer on a flat surface in a location in front of and facing the speakers.
This will allow you to gauge the volume of sound and adjust accordingly. Connect the power supply to your mixer.
